Best ACT Instructors in South Africa

It takes a unique and special person to become a Manhattan Review test prep educator. Obviously, we want people who have received high test scores (typically in the top 1%), but we aim to hire teachers who have more to offer than just an impressive score. Some exam prep companies hire on this basis alone, but at Manhattan Review, we go much deeper. We want to know a great deal about a prospective educator's academic credentials and background. Where did he go to college? In what subject did she major? What was her GPA and other academic accomplishments? These are only a few of the questions we ask when bringing on new hires. Our South African classroom instructors and individual tutors are distinguished graduates of the most highly ranked Ivy League universities in the English-speaking globe, and they have a wide variety of expertise throughout many different academic disciplines. We also consider former teaching experience, and we only hire instructors who have meaningful prior teaching profiles. Finally, we hire tutors with personalities and outside interests that make them perfect for exam prep instruction, especially in the areas of classroom presence and overall approachability. All instructors are thoroughly well-versed in Manhattan Review's special methods and teaching materials. Our highly selective hiring process produces test prep educators of special ability to meet and surpass the needs of our Cape Town and Johannesburg student population.

History of Manhattan Review

Manhattan Review started in New York City in 1999 by Joern Meissner, who at that time was a doctoral student and educator at Columbia Business School. Meissner's students often praised him for his easily understood breakdowns of sophisticated ideas, and several of these pupils thought that his style of instruction would be ideal for Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) preparation. Back then, available GMAT prep left a lot to be desired and there was a real desire for accessible material. Meissner responded by devising a series of GMAT lectures that used his trademark method of instruction. Early returns were highly positive, and these lectures would become the foundation of Manhattan Review's first test prep classes.

Manhattan Review has since cultivated into the world's leading global test prep company, with offices not just in Cape Town and throughout South Asia, but in cities around the world providing services for all of the major standardized university admission exams. Our company has aided countless students in South Africa and elsewhere equip themselves for acceptance to the universities of their selection by enhancing their ACT, SAT, SSAT, ISEE, GMAT, GRE, LSAT, TOEFL, and/or IELTS scores. We've also published a variety of exceptional test prep textbooks, helped business professionals improve their language abilities, and enhanced university applications with our remarkable admissions consulting services. At Manhattan Review, we aim to combine the resources of an international company with the customized service of a local firm, expertly serving the educational needs of the Cape Town and Johannbesburg community.

Upon finishing his doctoral degree, Meissner opted for the career track of an academic and has now over 25 years of experience as a postsecondary educator. This philosophy was paramount to the establishment of Manhattan Review, and continues to remain its most cherished principle today.
